Courage precedes all other virtues.

“Courage is rightly esteemed the first of human qualities because it is the quality which guarantees all others.”—Winston Churchill

Courage precedes all other virtues. Without courage there is no virtue; no honesty, no industry, no honor, no love. As Winston Churchill says, “it is the quality which guarantees all others.”

Aim to be courageous. Practice courage in small doses. Do what you know is right, just, and necessary. Do it when it is not comfortable. Do it when it is not easy.

Make the best decision, not the easiest decision.

Only after we find how to call upon our courage can we learn to call upon our virtues.
